Angell Hall Tables
MSA offers registered student organizations the use of tables in Angell Hall for either a bake sale or setting up an organization information table. Please see below for details and procedures about how to obtain a table.

Bake Sale Policy

A bake sale is an opportunity for your student organization to raise extra money and expose your organization to members of the University community. Bake sales are held in Angell Hall. If your student group is registered with the Michigan Student Assembly, then you are eligible to conduct a bake sale. Since bake sales are typically in high demand, there is a lottery to determine which groups obtain dates. This is how it works:

1. Fill out a lottery form for the following month, in the MSA Office, 3909 Michigan Union. Drawings are held for the following month on the 25th of the month. For example, dates are distributed for October on the 25th of September.

2. Stop by MSA after the 25th of the month to see what date your organization has been given: WE DO NOT CONTACT YOUR ORGANIZATION. YOU MUST STOP BY OUR OFFICE. If the date you win will work for your group, you will then fill out a Bake Sale Permit which outlines the types of food that may be sold at a Bake Sale Table and the Occupational Safety and Environmental Health Standards that must be followed.

3. If a group does not claim its date by the first of the month, the date will be given to another group on a first come first serve basis.

Information Table Policy

The Michigan Student Assembly reserves tables for one registered student organization per day to showcase their student organization in the Fishbowl area of Angell Hall. Information tables are for displaying and distributing information about your student organization only. Some items may be sold at the tables, but this must be approved by the MSA Administrative Coordinator. Only Student Organization information may be distributed, for example, credit card or cellular phone companies may not distribute applications or sell items. If your student organization is registered with MSA then they are eligible to reserve a table with MSA. Tables are reserved on a first come first serve basis. Organizations may reserve 2 days per month, to reserve space you must come into the MSA office, 3909 Michigan Union and fill out a permit.

If you have any questions in regards to the Information Table Policy or the Bake Sale Policy please contact the Michigan Student Assembly.
