Employment

If you're looking for a fun, unique way to make extra money and be involved with an integral student service, there's a place for you on the airBus team. We offer a variety of part-time positions for students of all levels. Shift times are flexible; most positions pay $11.00 per hour.

We're also recruiting team leaders. These longer-term positions include operational strategy, service development, staff management, accounting, and more. Organizing airBus is a challenging, rewarding experience; we'd love to meet you if you're interested.

Contact us at airbus-jobs@umich.edu for information on upcoming openings.

About airBus

For an in-depth view into our history, our operations and our mission, download our Five-Year Report in Adobe PDF format.

airBus is an independent, non-profit service sponsored by Michigan Student Assembly (MSA). airBus is not a private business, nor is it a formal student group. airBus began in November 2002 in response to a long-time lack of transportation options to Metro Airport. Since then, we have grown into U-M's preferred choice for airport transportation.

Our mission is to provide convenient, reasonably priced transportation. We owe our success to two core principles: customer service and constant improvement. We also believe strongly in involving students with their own service. With the exception of bus operators, everyone involved with airBus is a student.

Since our inception, we have increased service each and every season. We have reached a customer volume which justifies extraordinarily extensive service: for Eastbound service, we offer arrivals at Metro Airport at least once an hour; Westbound buses run as frequently as every 20 minutes at peak times. Still, we always like to learn more about travel patterns; we encourage our customers to contact us with any input.
